United Airlines plans to launch seasonal flights on 1 May from its Chicago hub to Rome.

The carrier plans to operate Boeing 767-300 aircraft on the daily flights that will run through August.

Schedules in the Innovata database show that currently Alitalia is the only carrier operating between the two destinations, offering four daily flights per week.
