United shifts roles for its executive team

United is moving some its executive team through the assignment of new roles to long-time employees.

Kate Gebo, who has been with United since 1998, is now VP of corporate real estate, replacing Ajay Singh. He is now VP of business management and information technology,

Singh joined United in 1992, and has held various positions in information technology, operations finance and the carrier's business transformation organization. Gebo was previously managing director of procurement at United, and in her new role is managing planning, engineering and construction for the carrier's domestic and international airport and off-airport facilities. Her new responsibilities also include managing lease and landing fee obligations for the company.

United today also named Praveen Sharma as managing director of its mileage plus loyalty programme, finance, strategy and information technology.
