United Airlines plans to launch nonstop summer seasonal service between its Chicago O'Hare International airport hub and Edinburgh, Scotland, on 22 May 2014.

The Star Alliance carrier will operate five-times weekly flights from 22 May 2014 to 11 June, daily between 12 June and 1 September and four-times weekly between 2 September and 5 October 2014.

United will deploy 169-seat Boeing 757-200 aircraft on the route.

According to Innovata schedules, United will be the sole operator on the Chicago-Edinburgh route
