United Airlines plans to launch a seasonal flight between Denver International airport and Sun Valley in July.
The daily flight will be operated by SkyWest Airlines on a 70-seat Bombardier CRJ700 from 2 July to 23 September, according to the Sun Valley airport.
The flight is supported by a $500,000 small community air service development programme grant from the US Department of Transportation (DOT) that the Idaho airport was awarded in September 2013. United endorsed the application.
The Chicago-based Star Alliance carrier offers a seasonal flight between Sun Valley and San Francisco during the winter.
No airlines fly between Denver and Sun Valley, Innovata schedules show.
