United Continental Holdings estimates unit revenue (PRASM) in July to be flat compared to July 2011.
During the month, traffic fell 2.8% as capacity declined 2.1% resulting in a 0.6 percentage point decline in load factor to 86.6%. Passenger numbers fell 2.2% to 13.4 million.
On the domestic front, traffic fell 4.6% as capacity declined 2.9%, resulting in a 1.6 percentage point decline in load factor to 88.2%.
On its international routes, traffic declined 1.9% while capacity fell 1.7% resulting in a 0.1 percentage point decline in load factor to 85.8%.
Cargo traffic for July fell 6.2%.
