United unit revenues up 4.5% in June

United Airlines estimates that passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) increased 3.5% to 4.5% in June compared to a year earlier.

Consolidated traffic fell 0.6% and capacity fell 2% during June, which resulted in a 1.2 percentage point increase in load factor to 87.7%.

Domestic traffic and capacity were down 2.4% and 3.7%, respectively, resulting in a 1.2 percentage point growth in load factor to 88.5%.

International traffic rose 1.5% and capacity rose 0.1%, which resulted in a 1.2 percentage point increase in load factor to 87.8%.
