Against a backdrop of lessons from the Iraq war, the annual Unmanned Systems North America conference and exhibition took place in Baltimore last week. Key themes were arming UAVs and speeding the sensor-to-shooter cycle. Organised by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, it attracted over 4,000 delegates and 200 exhibitors.
