US Airways and Croatia Airlines have requested authority to codeshare on flights between their respective countries from the US Department of Transportation.
The codeshare would apply to US Airways flights between Charlotte, Cleveland, Detroit, Philadelphia and St. Louis, and Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London-Heathrow, Munich and Zurich, and Croatia flights between Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London-Heathrow, Munich and Zurich, and Dubrovnik, Split and Zagreb if the request is approved, according to a regulatory filing.
The airlines hope to begin the codeshare on 22 June.
US Airways and Croatia are both members of the Star Alliance and offer reciprocal mileage accrual and redemption benefits on each other's flights to their frequent fliers.
The DOT approved a codeshare between United Airlines and Croatia in March.
