US Airways promoted Derek J Kerr to EVP and CFO and named Brad Jensen as SVP and CIO. Both officer appointments were approved last week by the company's board of directors.

As executive vice president and chief financial officer, Kerr is responsible for all corporate financial functions. He was named SVP and CFO in 2005 - a position he held with America West Airlines prior to the merger with US Airways. Kerr will continue to report to Parker.

Kerr recently led the process where US Airways raised or secured approximately $1.2 billion in cash and payment deferrals.

Jensen brings more than 30 years of extensive application development, planning, distribution, platform and systems knowledge to the airline. He will lead a team of approximately 500 professionals responsible for overseeing all Information Technology (IT)-related acquisitions and services. He will be based at the airline's corporate headquarters in Tempe and report to US Airways President Scott Kirby.
