US Airways will resume seasonal flights between Philadelphia and Shannon, Ireland, on 22 May 2013.

The Tempe, Arizona-based Star Alliance carrier will operate the daily flight on a 176-seat Boeing 757-200 until 3 September 2013.

US Airways also operates daily flights between Philadelphia and Charlotte and Dublin.

"Beginning next spring, our customers will again have non-stop access to both coasts of Ireland," says Andrew Nocella, senior vice-president of marketing and planning at US Airways, in a statement. "Customers can begin their trip with the Cliffs of Moher outside of Shannon and end it with the castles in Dublin, seeing all that Ireland has to offer."

No airlines fly between Philadelphia and Shannon, according to Innovata schedules.
