US Airways plans to reveal more new routes from Washington National airport next month as part of the final phase of bolstering service at the airport resulting from new slots gained from Delta.
After concluding the transaction US Airways secured 42 slot pairs at National from Delta and transferred 142 pairs to Delta at New York LaGuardia.
Earlier this week US Airways revealed the first round of new service scheduled to begin in March of this year.
In its weekly employee update the carrier stated "the final phase to focus on our core service areas starts July 11 and will add more new routes from DCA [National], which will be announced in February. To support the expanded service, we'll add more gates at DCA, build a second US Airways Club conveniently located near our new gates and will hire approximately 125 airport customer and fleet service employees".
