Thai Airways International has taken delivery of the first of eight Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from Boeing.

The aircraft, MSN 41520, is leased from BOC Aviation.

A syndicate of US bank including Apple Bank of New York, Boston's Sovereign Bank and Flashing Bank are funding the first two 777-300ER deliveries under an US Export-Import Bank loan for BOC Aviation. Nippon Export and Investment Insurance is the co-financing export credit agency on the 12-year financing.

The second delivery, MSN 41521, is scheduled for October. The remaining six aircraft are due in 2013.

BOC Aviation placed an order for eight aircraft of the type in November 2010. The remaining six aircraft are due in 2013.
