SCAT expands with more CRJs
SCAT Air of Shykment, Kazakhstan, has acquired three additional Bombardier CRJ200s powered by General Electric CF34-3B1 engines to expand operations.
The two 2003-vintage aircraft CRJ200ERs (7746, 7785) were purchased from Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing and Air Nostrum, respectively. Both aircraft were previously operated by Air Nostrum.
The Kazakh carrier also purchased a 2005-vintage (MSN 8010) from Adria Airways in a deal arranged by Cabot Aviation.
According to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database, SCAT now operates eight CRJ200LRs, along with two Boeing 757-200s, three 737-300s, three 737-500s, one Yakolev Yak42 and 23 Antonov An-24s.
Aeromexico Connect leased an Embraer 170 (17000147) aircraft with CF34-8E5A1 engines from GECAS. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by TRIP Linhas Aéreas.
Alas de Venezuela agreed to sublease a Boeing MD82 (53024) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from Perla Airlines. The 1991-vintage aircraft has been operated by Perla Airlines since 2012.
Air Caucasus leased a Boeing MD-83 (49948) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from Swift Aircargo. The 1991-vintage aircraft was last operated by Avianca.
Air Méditerranée leased a Boeing 737-500 (26422) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from AWAS. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by bmibaby.
Aviation Capital Partners purchased a Boeing 737-800 (40318) aircraft with CFM56-7B24 engines from Avolon Aerospace. The 2012-vintage aircraft is on lease to Ryanair.
Chanchangi Airlines subleased a Boeing 737-500 (25418) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Star Air Cargo. The 1991-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Linhas Aereas de Mocambique.
Conviasa subleased a Boeing 747-400 (26346) aircraft with CF6-80C2B1F engines from Pullmantur. The 1991-vintage aircraft is owned by AerSale.
Comair agreed to lease a Boeing 737-800 (30403) aircraft with CFM56-7B24 engines from ST Aerospace Engines. The 2001-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Jet Airways.
Farnair Switzerland agreed to lease a due to be converted Boeing 737-400SF (28492) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from ACAP 2005-3 ABS portfolio. The 1996-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Solaseed Air.
GA Telesis purchased a 737-700 (MSN 30273) aircraft with CFM56-7B22 engines from ACAP 2005-3 portfolio in a transaction managed by Aviation Capital Group. The 2001-vintage aircraft was previously operated by GOL.
Hermes Airlines agreed to sublease an Airbus A321 (0666) aircraft with CFM56-5B3 engines from Air Méditerranée. The 1997-vintage aircraft is on lease from ILFC through 2017.
JAT Airways leased a Boeing 737-300 (26852) aircraft with CFM56-3B2 engines from Bulgaria Air. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Tatarstan Air.
Rio Linhas Aereas agreed to lease a Boeing 737-400SF (25163) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Aergo Cargo Conversions III. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Sky Airline.
One Airlines/Sinami subleased a Boeing 737-400 (25729) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Xtra Airways. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Bahamasair.
Shaheen Air International leased an Airbus A320 (0877) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from ILFC. The 1998-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Windjet.
Skywest Airlines agreed to sublease three Bombardier CRJ700 (10010, 10024, 10033) aircraft with CF34-8C5B1 engines from Horizon Air. The 2001-vintage aircraft were previously operated by South African Express.
Travel Service Airlines subleased a Boeing 737-800 (41259) aircraft with CFM56-7B26E engines from Jet Airways. The aircraft was delivered new to Spicejet in May 2013.
Transporte Aereo Militar (Bolivian Air Force) acquired a Boeing 737-300 (24653) aircraft with engines from Jetran. The 1990-vintage aircraft was last operated by United Airlines.
Yan Air wetleased an Airbus A320 (0726) aircraft with CFM56-5A1 engines from Eastok Aviation. The 1997-vintage aircraft was last operated by White.
