Virgin Australia extends Fokker 100 leases

Virgin Australia Regional Airlines extended the leases on four Fokker 100s with lessor Avation.

The leases were extended by 36 months in each case from the previously scheduled expiry dates of each lease, says the lessor. Rentals under the extended leases are on typical market terms for transactions of this nature.

The four aircraft involved are MSNs 11373, 11391, 11488 and 11489.

The Australian operator operates 10 aircraft of the type.

Aerovista leased a Boeing 737-300 (28537) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Hurricane Aviation II. The 1997-vintage aircraft was previously operated by bmibaby.

Aerovista leased an Airbus A320 (1422) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Hong Kong Aviation Capital. The 2001-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Silk Air.

Air Italy (Meridiana) leased a Boeing 737-800 (29051) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from AWAS. The 2000-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Canjet Airlines.

Atlantis European Airways leased an Airbus A320 (0229) aircraft with CFM56-5A1 engines from Armavia. The 1991-vintage aircraft has been operated by Armavia since 2003.

Bangkok Airways leased an Airbus A320 (2874) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Kingfisher Airlines.

Brussels Airlines wetleased an Embraer ERJ-145ER (145454) aircraft with AE 3007-A/1 engines from bmi Regional. The 2011-vintage aircraft has been operated by bmi Regional since new.

Easysky agreed to lease a Boeing 737-500 (25176) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Sudamericana de Aviacion. The 1991-vintage aircraft was last operated by Aerolineas Argentinas.

Flyvista subleased a Boeing 737-300 (28873) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from GRAF1 (Aviation) WSA. The 1997-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Onix Airlines.

Hong Kong Express Airways leased an Airbus A320 (2322) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Hong Kong Aviation Capital. The 2004-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Jetstar.

La Compagnie subleased a Boeing 757-200 (29307) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from Icelandair. The 2000-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Titan Airways.

Meridiana leased a Boeing 737-800 (30477) aircraft with CFM56-7B24 engines from Macquarie AirFinance. The 2001-vintage aircraft was last operated by GOL.

Nauru Airlines purchased a Boeing 737-300SF (27125) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Boe Aircraft Leasing Holding. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Europe Airpost.

Rainbow Airlines agreed to wetlease an Airbus A320 (2732) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Air Via. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium.

Ryanair wetleased an Airbus A320 (2502) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Livingston. The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Livingston since 2012.

Sudamericana de Aviacion agreed to lease a Boeing 737-500 (24900) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Meigas Aviation Services. The 1991-vintage aircraft was last operated by Aerolineas Argentinas.

TAG Aviation leased a Boeing 757-200 (26330) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from AerCap. The 1996-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Safi Airways.

Tronos purchased a BAE Systems 146-200QT (E2112) aircraft with ALF502-R5 engines from Degecolar. The 1988-vintage aircraft was last operated by Pan Air.

XL Airways France subleased an Airbus A340-300 (202) aircraft with CFM56-5C4 engines from Hifly. The 1997-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Norwegian Long Haul.
