Orix Aviation closes 10 sale transactions in Q2

Operating lessor Orix Aviation closed a total of 12 transactions in the second quarter of this year, of which 10 sales and acquisitions.

Orix added two 2012-vintage Airbus A320s to its portfolio with lease attached to China Eastern Airlines. The 2012-vintage aircraft (MSNs 5047, 5048) were purchased in April.

Flightglobal's Ascend online database says the CFM International CFM56- 5B4/3 powered aircraft were initially leased by Aviation Capital Group.

Orix also continued its fleet expansion through the second quarter of 2013 with the acquisition of three new vintage A320s (MSNs 5542, 5592 and 5702) from Easyjet under a purchase and leaseback agreement.

During the three-month's period the lessor sold one 2003-vintage aircraft with a lease attached and completed the sale of four Boeing 737 Classics, compromising of one -500 series and three -300 series aircraft.

ORIX Aviation signed an operating lease contract with Air Company Tatarstan on a 1998-vintage 737-400 and Sun Express for the lease of a 1997-vintage 737-800.

AeroContractors leased a Boeing 737-300 (29203) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Celestial Aviation Trading 38 (GECAS). The 1998-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Solaseed Air.

Air Niugini agreed to lease a Boeing 737-800 (33024) aircraft with CFM56-7B26/3 engines from CIT Aerospace International. The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Jet Airways.

Air Transat extended the leases of three Airbus A330-200 (250, 271, 480) aircraft with Trent 772B-60 engines from ILFC for another seven to eight years. The first to aircraft were manufactured in 1999. The remaining aircraft was built in 2002.

Air Transat extended the leases of three Airbus A330-300 (111, 132, 179) aircraft with Trent 772B-60 engines from ILFC for another seven to eight years. The aircraft were manufactured between 1995 and 1997.

Avianca (Brazil) leased an Airbus A318 (3606) aircraft with PW6122A engines from Airbus Financial Services. The 2008-vintage aircraft was previously operated by LAN Airlines.

Carpatair leased a Boeing 737-300 (28332) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from ACAP 2005-3 ABS portfolio. The 1996-vintage aircraft was previously operated by bmibaby.

Everts Air Alaska leased a Boeing MD-83 (53078) aircraft with JT8D-217C engines from Artic One. The 1992-vintage aircraft was last operated by Alaska Airlines.

Haiti Aviation wetleased a Boeing MD-83 (53120) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from Falcon Air Express. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Dutch Antilles Express.

KV Aviation purchased a Boeing 737-300 (28733) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Air New Zealand. The 1997-vintage aircraft was operated by Air New Zealand since new.

North Cariboo Air purchased a BAE Systems RJ100 (E3369) aircraft with LF507-1F engines from Triangle Regional Aircraft (Falko). The 2000-vintage aircraft was last operated by BA Cityflyer.

Nordwind Airlines leased a Boeing 767-300ER (29435) aircraft with PW4062 engines from ILFC Aircraft 76B-29435. The 1998-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Blue Panorama.

Philippine Airlines purchased two Airbus A340-300 (302, 318) aircraft with CFM56-5C4 engines from Airbus Financial Services. The 1999/2000-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Iberia.

Ukraine International Airlines leased one Boeing 767-300ER (25530) aircraft with PW4056 engines from Aerospace Finance Asia. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Aerosvit.

Ukraine International Airlines leased a Boeing 737-800 (36086) aircraft with CFM56-7B27/3 engines from ALAFCO. The 2009-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Sky Airlines.

Sky Regional Airlines subleased three Embraer 175LR (17000090, 17000102, 17000103) aircraft with CF34-8E5A1 engines from Air Canada. The 2005-vintage aircraft have been operated by Air Canada since new.

Tianjin Airlines leased an Airbus A320 (2475) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Q Aircraft Leasing 2475 (HKAC). The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Jetstar.

Wind Rose Aviation leased one Airbus A330-200 (0296) aircraft with PW4168A engines from AWAS. The 1996-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Malaysia Airlines.

Wow Air wetleased an Airbus A320 (0409) aircraft with CFM56-5A3 engines from Avion Express. The 1993-vintage aircraft was previously operated by First Nation Airways.
