Orix Aviation closes 10 sale transactions in Q2
Operating lessor Orix Aviation closed a total of 12 transactions in the second quarter of this year, of which 10 sales and acquisitions.
Orix added two 2012-vintage Airbus A320s to its portfolio with lease attached to China Eastern Airlines. The 2012-vintage aircraft (MSNs 5047, 5048) were purchased in April.
Flightglobal's Ascend online database says the CFM International CFM56- 5B4/3 powered aircraft were initially leased by Aviation Capital Group.
Orix also continued its fleet expansion through the second quarter of 2013 with the acquisition of three new vintage A320s (MSNs 5542, 5592 and 5702) from Easyjet under a purchase and leaseback agreement.
During the three-month's period the lessor sold one 2003-vintage aircraft with a lease attached and completed the sale of four Boeing 737 Classics, compromising of one -500 series and three -300 series aircraft.
ORIX Aviation signed an operating lease contract with Air Company Tatarstan on a 1998-vintage 737-400 and Sun Express for the lease of a 1997-vintage 737-800.

Everts Air Alaska leased a Boeing MD-83 (53078) aircraft with JT8D-217C engines from Artic One. The 1992-vintage aircraft was last operated by Alaska Airlines.
Haiti Aviation wetleased a Boeing MD-83 (53120) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from Falcon Air Express. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Dutch Antilles Express.
KV Aviation purchased a Boeing 737-300 (28733) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Air New Zealand. The 1997-vintage aircraft was operated by Air New Zealand since new.
North Cariboo Air purchased a BAE Systems RJ100 (E3369) aircraft with LF507-1F engines from Triangle Regional Aircraft (Falko). The 2000-vintage aircraft was last operated by BA Cityflyer.
Nordwind Airlines leased a Boeing 767-300ER (29435) aircraft with PW4062 engines from ILFC Aircraft 76B-29435. The 1998-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Blue Panorama.
