Hainan Airlines acquires 737-800 from Air Berlin

Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines has agreed to buy a new 737-800 aircraft withCFM56-7B24E engines from Air Berlin, Flightglobal’s Ascend Online database shows.

The first aircraft (MSN 39383) was delivered new to Air Berlin earlier this month. It is expected to be transferred to Hainan Airlines later this month.

The Chinese carrier is also leasing two 2012-vintage aircraft currently operated by Air Berlin from GECAS. The aircraft (MSNs 37768, 37769) are scheduled for delivery to the Chinese carrier in November.

Air Contractors leased a Boeing 737-400SF (25261) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from ASL Aviation Group.The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated as a passenger aircraft by Turkish Airlines.

Air Manas agreed to purchase a Boeing 737-400 (29107) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Pegasus Airlines. The 1998-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Algérie.

Air Nuigini wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (33024) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from Loftleidir. The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Jet Airways.

Air Serbia leased an Airbus A319 (2621) aircraft with V2522-A5 engines from Fly Leasing. The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Kingfisher Airlines.

Allegiant Air leased an Airbus A320 (1318) aircraft with CFM56-5B4/P engines from Sunrise Asset Management. The 2000-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Iberia.

Atlantic Airways leased an Airbus A319 (3905) aircraft with CFM56-5B6/3 engines from New Skye (UK) in a transaction arranged by SMBC Aviation Capital. The 2009-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Olympic Air.

BLF (Bermuda) purchased a Boeing 767-200ER aircraft (30431) aircraft with CF6-80C2B4F engines from Wells Fargo, as trustee in a transaction arranged by Bristol Associates. The 2000-vintage aircraft was operated by United Airlines since new.

Canadian North leased a Boeing (28590) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from ACAP 2005-3 ABS portfolio (Aviation Capital Group). The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Webjet.

FedEx purchased a Boeing 757-200 (26710) aircraft with PW2037 engines from United Airlines. The 1993-vintage aircraft was operated by United since new.

Golden Myanmar Airlines agreed to lease an Airbus A320 (2128) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from CIT Leasing. The 2004-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Astana.

Iberia transferred an Airbus A320 (1119) aircraft with CFM56-5B4/P engines to Iberia Express. The 1999-vintage aircraft is owned by Aircraft MSN 1119 LLC (Aircastle Advisor).

Jet Asia Airways purchased a Boeing 767-200ER (24325) aircraft with JT9D-7R4D engines from PMC Aviation 2012-1. The 1989-vintage aircraft was last operated by Air Canada.

Loftleidir leased a Boeing 737-800 (33024) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from CIT Aerospace. The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Jet Airways.

Saravia leased an Embraer 195 (19000169) aircraft with CF34-10E7 engines from GECAS for a period of seven years. The 2008-vintage aircraft was previously operated by nasair.

Sunrise Asset Managementpurchased an Airbus A320 (1318) aircraft with CFM56-5B4/P engines from Iberia. The 2000-vintage aircraft was operated by Iberia since new.

SF Airlines purchased a Boeing 757-200SF (25258) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 1991-vintage aircraft was last operated as a passenger aircraft by China Southern Airlines.

Sudan Airways wetleased an Airbus A310-300 (0481) aircraft with CF6-80C2A2 engines from Jordan Aviation. The 1988-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Ghadames Air Transport.

Trans Air Cargo subleased a Boeing 737-300 (27346) aircraft with CFM56-3B1 engines from Star Air Cargo. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Velvet Sky.

UTair leased a Boeing 767-200ER aircraft (30431) aircraft with CF6-80C2B4F engines from BLF. The 2000-vintage aircraft was operated by United Airlines since new.
