Aircastle agrees 777 purchase and leasebacks with LATAM
Aircastle signed a purchase and leaseback transaction with LATAM Airlines Group for eight used Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
The first group of four aircraft (MSNs 38886, 38887, 38888, 38889), which were manufactured in 2012, is expected to close early in the second quarter of 2014 with an average lease term of 60 months.
The second group of aircraft (MSNs 37664, 37665, 37666, 37667), which were manufactured in 2008, is expected to be purchased by Aircastle once the existing financings are repaid and will be leased back to LATAM with lease terms expiring in 2017 and 2018.
According to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database, the eight 777-300ERs are operated by TAM Linhas Aereas.
Air Panama leased two Boeing 737-300 (23685, 24132) aircraft with CFM56-3B1/2 engines from ACAP 2000-1 ABS portfolio. The 1987/88-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Europe Airpost.
Aserca Airlines leased a Boeing MD-82 (53473) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from Air Capital. The 1997-vintage aircraft was last operated by Alaska Airlines.
Boeing Aircraft Holding purchased a Boeing 747-400F (26396) aircraft with PW4056 engines from Korean Air. The 1992-vintage aircraft was operated by Korean Air since new.
Cimber leased a Bombardier CRJ200ER (7622) aircraft with CF34-3B1 engines from General Asset-Finance Capital VI. The 2002-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Nostrum.
Evelop Airlines wetleased an Airbus A320 (3758) aircraft with CFM56-5B4/3 engines from Orbest. The 2009-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air India.
Orient Thai Airlines purchased a Boeing 737-300 (25892) aircraft with CFM56-3B1 engines from Air China. The 1992-vintage aircraft was operated by Air China since new.
Pakistan International Airlines agreed to wetlease one Airbus A320 (2758) aircraft with CFM56-5B4/P engines from CSA Czech Airlines. The 2006-vintage aircraft was operated by CSA Czech Airlines since new.
SAS wetleased a Bombardier CRJ200ER (7622) aircraft with CF34-3B1 engines from Cimber. The 2002-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Nostrum.
TAP Portugal agreed to lease two Airbus A320 (2792, 2822) aircraft with CFM56-5B4/P engines from Sahaab Leasing. The 2006-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Jazeera Airways.
US Aviation Corp purchased a Boeing MD-82 (49988) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from Jet Midwest. The 1990-vintage aircraft was last operated by American Airlines.
Delta Air Lines purchased a Boeing MD-82 (49384) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from SAS. The 1985-vintage aircraft operated by SAS since new.
VivaAerobus leased an Airbus A320 (2443) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from AWAS. The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Kingfisher Airlines.
