Investec purchases three 777-200ERs

Investec Aviation Finance has launched a new $500 million aircraft fund – Stripes 2013 Aircraft 1 – through the purchase of mid-life widebodies from Guggenheim Aviation Partners.

The South African bank’s aircraft financing unit completed the purchase of three Boeing 777-200ERs in December.

The 2000/01-vintage aircraft (MSNs 29588, 31477 and 31478) are on long-term lease to American Airlines.

Airbus Financial Services purchased an Airbus A340-500 (0563) aircraft with Trent 553A2-61 engines from Singapore Airlines. The 2004-vintage aircraft was operated by Singapore Airlines since new.

Air Serbia leased an Airbus A319 (2277) aircraft with V2524-A5 engines from CIT Aerospace International. The 2004-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Belle Air.

Ak Bars Aero leased an Airbus A319 (2700) aircraft with CFM56-5B5/P engines from GECAS. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Bahrain Air.

Minsheng Aircraft acquired a Boeing 737-800 (37786) aircraft with CFM56-7B24 engines from Air Berlin. The 2013-vintage aircraft was operated by Air Berlin since new.

Ruili Airlines leased a Boeing 737-800 (37786) aircraft with CFM56-7B24 engines from Minsheng Aircraft. The 2013-vintage aircraft was operated by Air Berlin since new.

VECA leased an Airbus A319 (2718) aircraft with V2524-A5 engines from ILFC. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Cyprus Airways.
