Fits Aviation acquires MD82s for cargo conversion

Sri Lanka’s Fits Aviation has purchased two ex-Alitalia Boeing MD82s for 12-pallet cargo conversion at Aeronautical Engineers (AEI).

The first aircraft (MSN 53217), which will enter the conversion line later this month, was built in 1993.

Last month Fits Aviation purchased an ATR 72-200 quick change passenger to cargo version model to replace two Fokker 27s. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Danube Wings.

Air Macau agreed to lease an Airbus A320 (4197) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Jessica Leasing (CIT Aerospace). The 2007-vintage aircraft was previouslyoperated by Cyprus Airlines.

Aserca agreed to lease a Boeing MD87 (49780) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from PALS 2001-1 ABS portfolio. The 1989-vintage aircraft was last operated by Aerochaco.

BoCom Leasing purchased two Boeing 737-800 (41257, 41258) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from GECAS. The 2013-vintage aircraft are operated by SAS.

Bravo Air purchased a Boeing MD83 (53188) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from AWAS. The 1995-vintage aircraft was previously operated by American Airlines.

Canadian North leased a Boeing 737-300 (28594) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from BBAM. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Bmibaby.

Costa Airlines leased a Bombardier CRJ200LR (7162) aircraft with CF34-3B1 engines from Avmax Aircraft Leasing. The 1997-vintage aircraft was last operated by Mesa Airlines.

Cronos Airlines wetleased an Airbus A320 (0359) aircraft with CFM56-5A1 engines from Smartlynx. The 1992-vintage aircraft was last operated by Travel Service Airlines.

Cubana wetleased an Airbus A319 (1263) aircraft with CFM56-5B6/P engines from Avion Express. The 2000-vintage aircraft was previously operated by TAP Portugal.

Delta Air Lines leased a Boeing 717 (55069) aircraft with BR715A engines from Southwest Airlines. The 2000-vintage aircraft was operated since 2012 by Southwest Airlines. It was previously on lease to AirTran Airways.

Med-View Airline wetleased a Boeing 747-300 (23032) aircraft with JT9D-7R4G2 engines from Air Atlanta Icelandic. The 1984-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Niamey.

Nok Air agreed to lease a Boeing 737-800 (33597) aircraft with CFM56-7B24 engines from SMBC Aviation Capital. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Ryanair.

South Supreme Airlines purchased a Bombardier CRJ100ER (7162) aircraft with CF34-3A1 engines from Brit Air. The 1997-vintage aircraft was last operated by Air Uganda.

Travel Service Airlines wetleased an Airbus A320 (0528) aircraft with CFM56-5A3 engines from Avion Express. The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Algérie.
