Airstream arranges ATR 42-500 lease to Hevilift Group

Airstream International Group has arranged the purchase and onward lease of an ATR 42-500 to Hevilift Group of Papua New Guinea.

The 1996-vintage aircraft (MSN 501), previously owned by Danish Air Transport, was last operated by Cimber Sterling. It will supplement Hevilift's fleet of two ATR 42-320s and three Bombardier Dash-6 aircraft.

Flightglobal's Ascend online database says the Airstream closed the transaction in collaboration with Aircraft Solutions Lux XIV (Universal Asset Management).

Aer Arann Regional leased an ATR 72-200 (496) aircraft with PW124B engines from Danish Air Transport. The 1996-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Cimber Sterling.

Frontier Alaska Aviation Trust purchased a Bombardier Dash8-100A (392) aircraft with PW120A engines from Skytrans (Australia). The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Skytrans.

Inter Îles Air acquired a Saab 340B (163) aircraft under an aircraft crew maintenance and insurance (ACMI) contract arranged by Skyworld Aviation. The 1989-vintage aircraft is owned by Ukraine's AeroJet. It was recently returned from lease by Ukraine's operator South Airlines.

Swiftair leased an ATR 72-500 (550) aircraft with PW127F engines from Nordic Aviation Capital. The 1998-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Executive Airlines.
