Elix purchases 25 turboprops from Nordic Aviation Capital

Elix Aviation Capital has acquired a total of 25 turboprop aircraft from Nordic Aviation Capital in a transaction valued over $100 million.

The Dublin-based turboprop leasing specialist purchased a mix of ATR 42-320/500s and Bombardier 8-300s from the Nordic lessor.

The transaction includes two ATR 42-300s (MSNs 291, 337) on lease to TACA’s Islena Airlines, one ATR 42-300 (412) on lease to Aeromar along with four ATR 42-500s (462, 476, 561, 564).

The 11 Dash8-300s (MSNs 221, 234, 261, 274, 279, 281, 284, 290, 336, 340, 375) were built in 1990 and 1991. All have leases attached to US regional carrier Piedmont.

Tyrolean Airways leased a Bombardier Q400 (4281) aircraft with PW150A engines from DR PPJ Aircraft Leasing. The 2009-vintage aircraft was previously operated by North Cariboo Air.
