JAT Airways leases ATR 72s from NAC

Serbian carrier JAT Airways has upgraded its turboprop fleet with the acquisition of a pair of used ATR 72-500s from Nordic Aviation Capital under an operating lease contract.

The 1997/98-vintage aircraft (MSNs 536, 555) were previously operated by Carpatair and American's Executive Airlines.

JAT Airways operates four ATR 72-200s that were built in 1989 and 1990. The carrier also has 10 Boeing 737-300s in its fleet, according to Flightglobal's Ascend online database.

Montecito New York purchased a Saab 340B (283) aircraft with CT7-9B engines from Aviation Inventory Resources. The 1992-vintage aircraft was last operated by Macair Airlines.

Passaredo Transportes Aereos leased a ATR 72-200 (575) aircraft with PW127F engines from Aircraft International Renting. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Jet Airways.

Seaborne Airlines leased a Saab 340B (283) aircraft with CT7-9B engines from Montecito New York. The 1992-vintage aircraft was last operated by Macair Airlines.
