NAC acquires two ATR 72s from Azerbaijan Airlines
Nordic Aviation Capital has completed the purchase of Azerbaijan Airlines' entire ATR fleet with the purchase of the of the final two ATR 72-500s.
The aircraft (MSN 799, 818) were built in 2008. They follow the acquisition of two ATR 42-500s, (667 and 689), that were built in 2007 and 2008 as well as two ATR 72-500s, (761, 789) in the final quarter of 2012.
The operating lessor also placed an ATR 72-500 under an operating lease contract with French carrier Airlinair.
The 2008-vintage aircraft (MSN 789) follows the placement of another ex-Azerbaijan Airlines ATR 72-500 (761) aircraft in February.
Afrijet Business Service purchased an ATR 42-512 (643) aircraft with PW127 engines from EPLL Aircraft Lease Two. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Flybe Nordic.
Aurigny Air Services wetleased a Fokker (20233) aircraft with PW125B engines from Denim Air ACMI. The 1991-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Blue Islands.
Minoan Air purchased a Fokker 50 (20206) aircraft with PW125B engines from First Prop Aviation. The 1990-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Free Airways.
Swiss agreed to lease a Bombardier Q400 (4016) aircraft with PW150A engines from Aircraft Asset Management. The 2001-vintage aircraft is currently operated by Augsburg Airways.
