UTAir introduces An-74s for freight operations

Russian carrier UTAir has introduced an Antonov An-74 freighter on cargo routes from Tyumen.

The airline's freight division, UTAir-Cargo, is intending to acquire two of the type which can transport a payload of 7.5t.

UTAir says the first aircraft is being put into service this month on the Nizhnevartovsk route, and other links in Siberia.

It states that it plans to take a second An-74 to complement its freighter fleet of An-26s.
