Virgin Australia's long-haul associate V Australia plans to place its code on Virgin Australia's Bali Denpasar flights and Pacific Blue's flights to the Pacific Islands.

In an application to Australia's International Air Services Commission, Virgin Australia seeked a variation of its capacity allocations on the Australia-Indonesia route to allow V Australia to codeshare on flights between points in Australia and Bali Denpasar.

Virgin Australia operates to Bali from Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, schedules in Innovata show.

In a separate application, Pacific Blue requested for a variation in its capacity allocation to allow V Australia to codeshare on its flights between points in Australia and Rarotonga in Cook Islands, Honiara in Solomon Islands, Nuku'alofa in Tonga, Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea and Port Vila in Vanuatu.
