Vietnamese low-cost carrier VietJet Air plans to launch international services in 2013 with the addition of its fifth Airbus A320.

The first international service could be on the Ho Chi Minh City-Bangkok route, says a spokeswoman. A date has not been set for the launch, she adds.

The airline received its fifth A320 on 14 November and will also use the aircraft to expand its domestic network.

The carrier says it plans to start international services to Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia in early 2013 and aims to grow the size of its fleet to 15 aircraft by 2015.
