After cancelling plans on 5 December to launch flights from Chicago O'Hare airport Virgin America today named Boston is it newest city.

Virgin on 12 February plans to start offering two daily roundtrips from Boston to its San Francisco base, and three daily flights between Boston and Los Angeles.

Boston is the carrier's eighth destination. Virgin America opted to name another destination in lieu of Chicago after failing to secure gates at the airport.
