Virgin Australia has reported 6.4% growth in its domestic passenger traffic as measured in RPKs for November, compared with the same period last year.
The carrier's overall passenger numbers increased by 3.4% year on year to 1.68 million during the month.
Domestic passenger numbers rose by 3.2% to 1.47 million, while international passenger numbers increased by 5% to 214,000 in November, says the carrier.
The airline's overall capacity, as measured in ASKs, increased by 6.6%. Its domestic capacity rose by 9.9%, while international capacity grew by 1.7%.
Virgin Australia's overall passenger load factor declined by 0.2 percentage points to 78.3%. Its domestic passenger load factor fell by 2.7 percentage points to 78.6%, while international passenger load factor increased by 2.2 percentage points to 78%.
