Virgin Australia has applied to Australia's International Air Services Commission to allow Delta Air Lines to codeshare on V Australia's flights to the USA.

This follows the granting of anti-trust immunity by the US DOT for a trans-Pacific joint venture between Delta and Virgin Australia.

In the application, Virgin Australia requested for the commission to allow the utilisation of capacity for codeshare services with Delta on V Australia's flights between Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Los Angeles.
