Virgin Australia will increase the frequency of flights from Brisbane to Emerald on 29 October and to Newcastle and Rockhampton on 12 November.
The carrier will add a daily flight on the Brisbane-Emerald route, increasing its flight frequency from 17 to 24 times weekly.
The airline will also raise the frequency of flights between Brisbane and Newcastle from twice daily to 19 times weekly.
In addition, flights on Virgin Australia's Brisbane-Rockhampton route will increase to eight times daily during weekdays and on Sundays.
The airline will operate additional services to Emerald and Rockhampton using ATR 72 aircraft and this will increase capacity on the routes by 950 and 500 seats weekly respectively.
The carrier will deploy its Fokker 100 aircraft on the addition flights to Newcastle, adding 1,000 weekly seats to the route.
