Australia's Virgin Blue has appointed Sankar Narayan as its new chief financial officer, following the resignation of Keith Neate in December.
Narayan, whose most recent role is CFO of Malaysia-based media group Astro All Asia Networks, will join the carrier in April, says the airline.
He is also a former CFO of Australia's Fairfax Media.
"Sankar will lead our financial, information technology and centralised procurement divisions, be responsible for improving financial efficiency and play a key role in driving the group's growth," says Virgin Blue's CEO and managing director John Borghetti.
Neate stepped down from the CFO role last month due to personal reasons.
