Mexican low-cost carrier VivaAerobus has taken delivery of the first of two used Airbus A320s under an operating lease agreement with AWAS.
The aircraft (MSN 2443) is a 2005-vintage example previously operated by Kingfisher Airlines.
The second of the two narrowbodies will follow in the first half of this year, says AWAS.
Boeing 737-300 operator VivaAerobus is transitioning to an all-A320-family fleet. It has placed order for 12 A320s and 40 A320neos, with deliveries scheduled through 2025.
The Monterrey-based carrier took delivery of a 2004-vintage A320 earlier this month under an operating lease agreement with SMBC Aviation Capital.
