Mexican low-cost carrier Volaris has applied to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) to begin service between Chihuahua and Denver.
The carrier aims to begin service shortly after it receives DOT approval and will operate Airbus A320 family aircraft on the route.
Volaris operates non-stop between Denver and Mexico City and applied earlier this month to fly non-stop between Denver and Guadalajara.
Separately, Volaris says that it will begin domestic service to Ciudad Obregon in the northern state of Sonora. Volaris will offer twice-weekly non-stop service between the city and Tijuana from 5 November.
Volaris will be the only carrier to operate on the two new routes, schedules in Innovata show.
