Spanish carrier Vueling's load factor declined 0.2 percentage points to 77.7% in February compared to the same month last year.

The growing low-cost carrier grew traffic 8.3% year-on-year growth, roughly in line capacity increased 8.5%.

Passenger numbers for February fell 2.5% to 778,000, while the total number of flights operated decreased by 0.4%.

Direct comparison with February 2012 is distorted by the leap year effect, while Vueling's traffic figures were also hit by a strike by Iberia handling and maintenance services.
