WealthCap, a Munich-based initiator of closed-end funds, is offering an Airbus A380 aircraft on lease to Singapore Airlines in the German Kommanditgesellschaft (KG) market.
The fund purchased the 2011-vintage A380 last October under a purchase and leaseback transaction with a 10-year term.
According to the prospectus, the fund's volume is $201.5 million. The $83.3 million equity portion includes $4 million agio, while the remaining $118.2 million is the senior debt.
Australia & New Zealand Singapore Branch acted as the debt arranger and facility agent under a syndicated banking facility.
The overall transaction was arranged by EastMerchant Capital, which also assumes the role of asset manager.
The aircraft (MSN 071) is equipped with Rolls Royce's Trent 970-84 engines. It was delivered new to the carrier in September 2011 and financed with internal cash.
