Bahamas-based Western Air has grown its Saab 340A fleet to five aircraft after it introduced its first international service to Kingston, Jamaica in April.

Western Air now operates a single daily flight from Nassau to Kingston, which debuted in April, and a daily flight from Nassau to Montego Bay. Air Jamaica cut both routes this year after it was taken over by Caribbean Airlines.

In its regular update Saab Aircraft Leasing confirms Western Air now operates five of the 340A turboprops, and has built a new hangar and passenger waiting facility at its San Andros base.
