Canadian carrier WestJet will add year-round service domestically between Kamloops and Calgary, as well as seasonal service to two Caribbean destinations on 3 November.

Seasonally, the airline will link Toronto with Bridgetown, Barbados and La Romana, Dominican Republic. The carrier has previously said it has not ruled out year-round Barbados service.

The Caribbean service comes as some US majors, including American Airlines, have announced plans to trim flights in that region.

The carrier will also connect Calgary and Grande Prairie, Canada starting on 2 November.

With the addition of these markets, WestJet will serve a total of 49 destinations.
