WestJet to launch four seasonal routes, boost frequency

WestJet will launch four nonstop services and increased frequency on 29 existing routes as part of the 2013-2014 northern hemisphere winter schedule.

The airline's regional carrier Encore will add new routes to the network with flights between Winnipeg and Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Regina and between Vancouver and Kamloops, British Columbia.

The airline will operate twice daily service from Winnipeg to Saskatoon and Regina, while Vancouver-Kamloops flights will be operated on daily basis.

WestJet Encore frequency increases on routes between Calgary and Kamloops and routes between Edmonton and Saskatoon, Edmonton and Regina and Edmonton and Grande Prairie, Alberta.

The WestJet Encore-operated route between Vancouver and Victoria will also increase for the season.

WestJet moves from seasonal to daily year-round service between Toronto and Fort McMurray, and three-time weekly service from Toronto to Deer Lake, Newfoundland, beginning 27 October.

In addition, WestJet will launch direct flight between Calgary and Miami and more flights between Calgary and Phoenix, Calgary and San Diego, Calgary and Orlando as well as Kelowna to Phoenix.
