Canada's WestJet has reported a 4.4% growth in passenger traffic in November.
Capacity was up 4.5% in the month, while the load factor declined 0.1 percentage point to 77.6%.
On a year-to-date basis, traffic was up 8.2%. Capacity rose 8.6% and the load factor fell 0.3 percentage point to 79.6%.
"We are noticing a slight shift in booking patterns this holiday season with more travel spilling into January as school breaks are starting later in December," said the airline's CEO Gregg Saretsky. "We are now expecting our projected fourth quarter 2011 year-over-year RASM growth to be between 4% and 5%."
