WestJet traffic up 7.3% in February

Canadian low-cost carrier WestJet has posted a 7.3% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic in February compared to the same month in 2012.

The carrier's capacity for the reporting month grew 3.1% and the load factor increased by 3.4 percentage points to 86.1%.

The airline flew 1.4 million passengers during the accounting month, a year-on-year rise of 5.5% or approximately 74,300 additional guests.
