WestJet's application for US Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im) support covering its Boeing 737 aircraft deliveries is under US Congressional review, according to the export credit agency's minutes on the request.
A decision is expected after 18 July, says Ex-Im.
The Calgary-based low-cost carrier is due take one 737-800 this year, followed by two 737-700s and four -800s in 2014, Flightglobal's Ascend Online database shows. Another six -700s and seven -800s will be delivered to the carrier in 2015. WestJet will receive 10 -700s in 2016, followed by another nine -700s in 2017 with three remaining -700s arriving in 2018, according to Ascend.
