WestJet’s traffic up 6.7% in October

Canadian carrier WestJet has reported a 6.7% growth in passenger traffic in October.

Capacity rose 6.7% and the airline's passenger load factor remained flat at 77.4%.

WestJet president and chief executive, Gregg Saretsky said: "We reported another strong load factor and achieved a new record for the month of October by carrying over 1.3 million guests."

"Demand kept pace with our capacity additions this month and our forward bookings remain healthy," he added.
