Cessna has joined forces with Winglet Technology of Wichita, Kansas to offer the company's patented elliptical winglets as a retrofit for in-service Citation X business jets. Flight testing is due to begin in the third quarter.
This is the first contract for Winglet Technology, according to company president Bob Kiser, who says the design has been shown to increase range and payload on hot days at higher elevations.
