Wizz Air will mandate financing next month for its aircraft deliveries through early 2014, according to its chief executive officer Jozef Varadi.
"It's a completed process. We have deals in place," he tells Flightglobal.
Wizz Air is "staying put" with a sale and leaseback strategy, he says, due to the airline's "development at this stage".
Varadi says Wizz Air has funding in place for aircraft delivering through early 2014. "We work with quite a good lead time when it comes to fleet financing," he says.
According to Flightglobal, the budget carrier has 10 new Airbus A320 deliveries scheduled for 2013. Another 14 aircraft of the type are due in 2014. The airline entered sale and leaseback agreements with Avolon and Hong Kong Aviation Capital on this year's deliveries.
