Aeroports de Paris' engineering unit has been picked to help resume construction of the new international terminal at Zanzibar airport in Tanzania.

ADPI will support the architectual engineering design to modernise of Zanzibar's Abeid Amani Karume International airport, which includes construction of a second terminal.

Work on the second terminal originally began in 2011 but was stopped in 2012 as some aspects of the project did not comply with ICAO standards. Design and engineering work by ADPI, together with negotiations with construction firm Beijing Construction Engineering Group, will now enable construction work on the new terminal to resume. ADPI will continue to support the project during the construction phase.
