China's Xiamen Airlines has inked an agreement to sell a Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Hebei Airlines.
The sale price has been fixed at CNY257 million ($40.7 million), according to a statement by China Southern Airlines to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, which holds a 51% stake in Xiamen.
The sale of the aircraft will not have a significant impact on Xiamen's operations and financials, it adds. The registration number of the aircraft was not disclosed.
Last year, Xiamen also sold two of its Boeing 737-700s to Hebei Airlines.
Xiamen placed an order for 40 737s in August, to be delivered from 2016 through to 2019. The carrier did not give details of their 737 variant selection and there was no indication as to whether any of them are the re-engined Max version.
