Russian carrier Yakutia has sealed an agreement with engine manufacturer PowerJet covering maintenance of the SaM146 powerplants on its Sukhoi Superjet 100s.

The agreement gives Yakutia access to the PowerLift support programme, said the carrier.

PowerJet said the scheme will "meet all the expectations" of the Yakutsk-based operator. Yakutia intends to commence Superjet operations in 2012.

Yakutia is planning to acquire two Superjets.
