Yangtze River Express has filed an application with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to start a twice weekly Hangzhou-Shanghai-Pudong-Dhaka-Nanning freighter service.
It plans to start the service in August, using Airbus A330-200, Boeing 737-300, and 747-400 freighters, the CAAC says.
Innovata schedules show that Yangtze River Express will be the only operator on the route.
Yangtze River Express is a joint venture between HNA Group, the parent company of Hainan Airlines, and Taiwan's China Airlines. It operates a fleet of 15 737 freighters, three Boeing 747-400 freighters and one Airbus A330-200 freighter.
