Yangtze River Express, part of HNA Group, has placed a firm order for three Boeing 737-400SF 11-pallet conversions with Aeronautical Engineers (AEI).

The aircraft are all high gross weight 737-400s equipped with CFM56-3C1 engines.

The first aircraft (MSN 28759) will undergo freighter modification next month. It was built in 1998 and was last operated as a passenger aircraft by China Xinhua Airlines, according to Flightglobal's Ascend online database.
