SEPTEMBER 27, 1917. *'FOR CONSPICUOUS GALL ANT RY. "—In the latest list of honours Second Lieutenant J. C. Currie,H.F.A., S.R., attd. R.F.C., was awarded a bar to bis M.C. for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty, when acting as observer to another officer. They faced a violent thunderstorm, accompanied by a gale of"wind and blinding rain, which had compelled all other machines to return to their aerodromes or to make forced landings, in order to locate the position of our infantry in the front line.
